On Friday at 11:46 a.m., flight 2283 departed from the city of Cascavel bound for Guarulhos International Airport, in Sao Paulo. However, during the journey the Voepass airline plane crashed into the garden of a house in Vinhedo (SP), killing all 62 people on board.
According to the note, the archbishop addressed words of consolation to the mourners and assured them of his prayers. “I decided to be with you to tell you that we carry with you the pain and suffering that you are experiencing at this moment,” said the cardinal.
