The APP Luzea was born during the Covid-19 pandemic, allows you to light candles in various temples from Spain and Italy at a distance from the mobile phone and now tries to reach Latin America through the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico.
The spokeswoman of LongLuz Alcaraz, explains to ACI Press that they look “with great enthusiasm to the countries of Latin America in which the Catholic faith is greatly professed and therefore we are working to get there sooner rather than later.”

Specifically, he adds, from the app they have been in contact with (the sanctuary of) Guadalupe, with the aim of installing our system there. If God wants, this Marian sanctuary will be the starting point for Luzea to reach more parishes and churches in Latin America. “
At present, the Luzea system is available in 10 Spanish temples, half parishes belonging to the Archdiocese of Madrid. It is also used in Torrevieja and Malaga.
In addition, it is possible to use this system to light candles in the important Marian enclaves dedicated to the Virgin of Covadonga, Our Lady of Los Angeles de Torreciudad and Nuestra Señora del Rocío in Huelva.
In Italy, light users can turn on their votive flames in the Basilica of Our Lady Coronada of Good Council and in the Church of San Gregorio de Armenia, both in Naples; The parish dedicated to Santa Teresa de Calcuta in Livorno and in the sanctuary dedicated to Santa María Goretti, in the town of Nettuno, near Rome.
As the spokeswoman explains, the system has no cost to the temples. “The first candle that a user turns on is in charge of us and has no cost to him. From the second, the user chooses the donation he wants to send, being the minimum € 2.”
Of this amount, “a part of that donation goes to the church in which the candle turns on and the other serves to support the Luza project.”
Since its implementation, almost 25,000 wax candles have been ignited, in which a light very similar to that of a flame is turned on. The user can see the corresponding Lampadario through a camera.
