The ambassador’s participation in the meeting was clearly another gesture of Milei’s support for the state of Israel, where he was shortly after assuming the Argentine Presidency, 4 months ago.
The escalation of the crisis in the Middle East led Milei to bring forward his return to the country, canceling his trip to Denmark where the purchase of planes for Argentina would be made official. When the Iranian attack occurred, Milei was in the United States, on his third trip to the country since coming to power. In the USA, the Argentine president received tribute from an Orthodox Jewish entity, in Miami, and visited the Tesla factory, in Austin, where he met with businessman Elon Musk (also owner of the X network, ex-Twitter, and who is accused of irregularities in Brazil).
Argentina was the target of two terrorist attacks in the 1990s (Israeli Embassy and the Israeli Mutual Association, AMIA) and Argentine justice targets Iran in its investigations.
