As a return, a return to his beginnings in action cinema, Adrián Suar returns to running, hitting, shooting and making jokes in Checkmatethe action comedy that is still in some theaters, and that has just been uploaded to streaming

Suar did not return alone: he brings with him Jorge Nisco, who directed him in Wild cardsin which he shared the bill with Carlos Andrés Calvo, back in 1997.
Now Suar is Duque, who was part of “an international brigade that solves crimes, frauds and attacks that endanger global security.” He retired after the death of his brother. We will know this after the first sequence.
Duque lives alone, in the middle of nowhere, in the Tigre Delta, and has a security device that warns him if someone is lurking in the area. He thus “catches” his niece, with whom he had become estranged, who arrives without warning.
Well, others who also arrive without having been invited are the thugs who machine-gun the house, and whom Duque will eliminate one by one, which is why action heroes come to such because the bad guys don’t attack them all together. It happens to Tom Cruise, it happens to Jason Statham, why shouldn’t it happen to Suar.
Overproduction
Because the production of Checkmateshared between Patagonik and Amazon Studios, is considerable, and includes an international cast, since when the potatoes burn – the bad guys kidnap his niece -, Duque will go first to Nancy and Mal cosido (due to a scar on his face), and then he will reunite in Argentina with those who were his companions, among them, the Spanish Maggie Civantos, Macarena in the series Vis a vis.
Everyone must infiltrate a maximum security laboratory in Mendoza, and get a scientific formula from there, which is what the bad and powerful want as part of the rescue of Duque’s niece.
The movie is titled for a reason. Checkmate. This is what Duque and his niece play, will it have anything else to do with the plot?
Mike Amigorena is the villain. He looks like he stepped out of an animated movie from the Illumination studio, the ones who created the Minions.
The comedy scenes are to decompress the action, and many of them have Benjamín Amadeo (Mal cosido) as the main participant. The cast also includes José Eduardo Derbez (How poor so rich) y Tsahi Halevi (Fauda). In this solid proposal for entertainment.
