Help the needy church (ACN) adds to the ordinary jubilee 2025 carrying hope through four projects to help migrants, sick, persecuted and prisoners in South Sudan, Ukraine, Pakistan and Ecuador.
This has been revealed in the presentation this Thursday in Madrid of the campaign Your help, your hope. Live the jubilee with the church that suffers, in which Cardinal Mauro Piacenza, international president of the Pontifical Foundation, helps the Church in need.

The purple has stressed that the motto of the ordinary jubilee, Peregrinos de Esperanza, “It has a special connection” with the work that ACN and its charisma develops, summarized in the phrase “dry the tears where God cries.”
Cardinal Piacenza encouraged to join the jubilee itinerary and cross the holy door, which is a way of saying “I want to take a step towards him.” Specifically, he called to “recognize ourselves sinners” and consider that “we all have a false god in the drawer of our heart” that must be banished.
“It is necessary to undo these idols,” he said in reference to pride, money, selfishness or worldness.
Finally, Cardinal Piacenza did not miss the opportunity to congratulate ACN Spain, which turns 2025 60 years since its implementation.
Help the needy church will be promptly add to the jubilee of the martyrs planned in Rome for the month of May, he will go from the 23 national offices and the international headquarters of the Pontifical Foundation.
However, throughout the jubilee year it will support especially four projects.
The first of these aims to support the parish community of San Kizito, in the Diocese of Wau, where two priests are developing their pastoral work, which need a house attached to the temple and a small chapel, for which a help of More than 83,000 euros.
In Ukraine, looking at the charitable and welfare action to the sick, also in war situations or in the crises that require a humanitarian response, it helps the Church in need has proposed to support the Basilian sisters.
It is a community of religious overturned in the attention to the most needy and sick who, because of the war, faces great difficulties in attending chronic diseases and medical care of the sisters. Among them, the example of Sor Olga Lajun, 104.
This project needs an investment encrypted in 56,000 euros.
For his part, the archbishop of Islamabad-Rawalpindi, Mons. Joseph Arshad, has requested the collaboration of aid to the needy church for the construction of a sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Peace that serves as a place of rest, peace and prayer.
The complex, which has a budget of 100,000 euros, plans to incorporate a museum in which to reflect a spiritual tour of the history of Christianity in the country, one of those who suffers greater religious persecution in the world.
The fourth main ACN project for this jubilee year is dedicated to supporting a spiritual accompaniment project to people deprived of liberty in Guayaquil (Ecuador).
Specifically, the program is aimed at the more than 12,000 prisoners distributed in eight prisons in the city and needs 9,000 euros for the purchase of Bibles and Catechisms or the adaptation of security in the penitentiary chapels.
