Father Christian Gerges, pastor of the Church of Saint Tekla in Lebanon, told ACN that the solar panels have saved money that is now allocated to the pastoral mission of the parish.
Previously, the parish complex “paid $60 a month for electricity, but since the installation of the solar panels, the monthly bill is only three dollars,” ACN said.
Another success story is that of the nuns of the Congregation of the Holy Family, also in Lebanon, who point out that before the pontifical foundation project, their electricity expenses were between 300 and 400 US dollars, but now they have been reduced at 6 dollars.
