The Pontifical Foundation helps the Church in need (ACN) announced the twentieth edition of the campaign One million children praying the rosarywhich this year aims to pray “for peace and unity in a world injured by division, conflicts and suffering.”

As a result, they presented their idea to the National Conference of Laity (CNL), where “the campaign) is given to reach all schools and parishes in the country, through ecclesial instances,” according to Ayeila Bello, general coordinator of the program in Venezuela.
Since then, he added, the initiative seeks to “evangelize children and young people through the Christian values and devotions of the Catholic Church.”
With ACN support, the campaign has popularized worldwide. Fr. Anton Lässer, an ecclesiastical assistant of the Pontifical Foundation, called the faithful around the world to join the first week of October, especially on Tuesday 7, the day the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated.
The priest asks to trigger “a tide of prayers throughout the world arising from the hearts of children and made with children’s confidence.”
“The prayer of children has a special power before God, a power that can knock down walls, cure wounds and bring light to darkness,” added Fr. Lässer.
For his part, Cardinal Mauro Piacenza, International President of ACN, stressed the importance of the campaign, ensuring that the year of peace and unity of the world is increasingly urgent.
“At a time when the silence of prayer looks too often drowned by the noise of the world, the rosary offers an oasis of contemplation. It is not an arid or repetitive practice, but a soft and vigorous path that leads us to the heart of the gospel,” said the president.
“Let’s pray together to strengthen the ties of ecclesial communion, both affective and effective, and so that the Holy Spirit wakes up in the hearts of young people a sincere desire for holiness,” he added.
Participants can be registered in the campaign website. ACN pray to the groups to comply in the registry to be able to “have an idea of how many children officially participate in the event.” In addition, on the site you can find several useful resources in different languages that can be downloaded.
