Abuses: Bishops denounce unfair treatment by the Spanish Government against the Church

The Plan, which will be valid until 2027, is structured around five axes: recognize and repair; care for victims; prevent; train and raise awareness; and inform and investigate on the first axis.

In addition, the Executive has announced that it will organize a public event with the victims of sexual abuse committed within the Catholic Church that aims to be “a symbolic reparation”, to which it has added that mechanisms will be established for material reparation “ that it is adequate and that it is sufficient in economic terms.”

During his appearance, the minister assured that the Executive’s idea “is to do it in collaboration, hand in hand with the Catholic Church.” Last Friday, he held a meeting with the recently elected president of the EEC, Mons. Luis Argüello, Archbishop of Valladolid.
