The Argentine National Representative of the La Libertad Avanza party, Rocío Bonacci, presented a project to repeal Law 27,610 on “Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy”, that is, the abortion law.
The project was announced this Wednesday, February 7, in a turbulent context in legislative matters, after the return to committee of the Bill of Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines, also known as the “Omnibus Law”, which had been presented by President Javier Milei but did not have the necessary consensus in the Chamber of Deputies.
Legislator Bonacci’s project also bears the signature of Beltrán Benedit, María Fernanda Araujo, Lilia Lemoine, Manuel Quintar and Oscar Zago, president of the libertarian bloc, although its author admitted that “they are not handwritten signatures, they are accompaniments from members of my block, with whom we previously chatted about this project.”
