A workshop teaches how to launch sustainable Catholic digital ventures

Catholic Link launches TEC 2.0, a workshop to promote Catholic digital ventures, so that they can become lasting projects that allow professionals the opportunity to sustain themselves with them, dedicating themselves to them not just as a hobby.

The Catholic Digital Entrepreneurship Workshop (TEC 2.0) will be held on November 5 and 6, at 7:00 pm (Mexico time), 8:00 pm (Colombia, Ecuador and Peru time) and 10:00 pm (Argentina time).

On the first day, the topics to be discussed will be the mentality of the Catholic digital entrepreneur and how to create an attractive and evangelizing product; while the second day will see simple and effective strategies to sell digital producers and services to Catholic audiences.

The workshop is aimed at Catholic professionals who offer therapies or consultancies, Catholic entrepreneurs who want to improve their results on the Internet, Catholics who want to evangelize on the networks or who want to do a digital entrepreneurship, and religious or consecrated people who want to enhance their digital apostolates.

The workshop will be led by Mauricio Artieda, founder and director of Catholic Link, which he defines as “the largest online Catholic education academy in Spanish.” Artieda has a Master’s Degree in Digital Communication from the Public University of Rome and for 5 years has been accompanying those who want to create sustainable digital ventures.

In dialogue with ACI Prensa, Artieda explains that this workshop responds to a “concrete need because there are many very beautiful initiatives in the Church, with a lot of effervescence and creativity, but they do not calculate that, little by little, as they grow, they need more financial resources.”

“When these difficulties appear, many projects end up remaining just a hobby, or simply end up being truncated or abandoned projects.” For this reason, the TEC proposes “to create an economic plan from the beginning and have a strategy so that, when these moments arrive where a certain economic stability is needed, evangelizers know how to become entrepreneurs and can navigate these difficulties.”

This, he highlights, requires a change in mentality of those who lead a project, something that turns out to be “the most relevant thing” in the process to “acquire the necessary knowledge” that is required, such as those linked to digital marketing, the good use of the available tools and money.
