Next Saturday, December 23, the last 2023 edition of the social impact program race will be held “Today for you” from Argensun Foods, an initiative that combines sport with solidarity and brings together families and runners from all over the country.
The setting will be the emblematic Puente Viejo de la Costanera, in the city of San Antonio de Areco, Buenos Aires province. The competition will have three categories: 15 km and 7 km races, and a 1 km recreational walk.
As in every race, registration requires the donation of three non-perishable foods and all proceeds will go to local organizations. On this occasion they will be the Padre Antonio Stakelum Center Association, made up of two organizations: Conin Areco and the Padre Stakelum Comedor, who, among many activities, carry out a complete program for the prevention of child malnutrition; and the San Camilo Home, which houses people between three and eighteen years old with serious and severe disabilities, with a high level of dependency and without alternative family support.
“With the latest edition of ‘Hoy por ti’, we celebrate a year of solidarity and commitment. Seeing the entire community, groups of friends and entire families support this cause that seeks to be close to those who help, and help them to collaborate with those who need it most, fills us with gratitude. Throughout the year, we visit cities in different provinces and we always find a wonderful reception that teaches us that teamwork, sports and solidarity unite us as a community. Every kilometer traveled is a symbol of hope for those who need it most. We thank everyone for being a part!”, expressed Pablo Tamburo, CEO of Argensun Foods.
People who registered will be able to collect their kits from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and then prepare for the start that will begin at 5:00 p.m. In addition to the race, participants will be able to enjoy an exciting live show, surprises and an awards ceremony to celebrate the runners’ achievements.
