A new video was spread through social networks this Friday and revived the scandal involving Néstor Ortigoza and his partner, and in addition shakes the world San Lorenzo. The man who sealed his name with fire by converting the penalty that gave the Boedo team the only Copa Libertadores in history was denounced by his partner for gender violence and between Thursday and Friday some videos appeared in which he can be seen attacking the woman.

In the last few hours, a new video appeared in which Lucía Cassiau is seen showing her bloody mouth and claiming that she had suffered blows from the former soccer player, who appears in the background sitting. “That’s how he left me. He’s giving me shit and he doesn’t want to leave, I already told him I don’t want to be with him anymore,” she can be heard saying to the woman while she records herself with her cell phone.

About two months ago, Ortigoza and his wife had reported each other for attacks. But, the scandal became public through the footage that was leaked on social networks. There are other images that were recorded from the home security cameras and the attacked woman’s cell phone.

In one of the videos, Ortigoza is seen attacking the woman in the kitchen of her home. When she tries to record it, he slaps her hand and tries to take her cell phone.

The situation escalates into violence and in one of the records a minor even appears. The soccer player plays with one of their two children and throws a ball at his wife who is filming him: “Shut up because the baby is there,” she tells him to end the argument.

The last few months for Ortigoza were turbulent. Until August, he was in charge of professional football at San Lorenzo. That month an internal dispute broke out with the president of the club and the crossfire started. The commission circulated that the former player of Argentine and Paraguayan nationalities was not prepared for that place. “If they want to kick me out, I’ll leave calmly“Replied the man who is now accused of gender violence.

After that crossing, he was removed from the manager’s position and remained as a member of the board of directors. Now, after the video scandal, The club directly asks him to step aside and present his resignation.

“As a result of the publicly known facts that link him to situations of gender-based violence, the majority official bloc of the San Lorenzo Board of Directors decides to demand that the titular member Néstor Ezequiel Ortigoza present his resignation from office, since his “action does not represent the values ​​that our institution upholds,” the club’s statement begins.

“The club has taken into account the rights and obligations incorporated in our National Constitution, in the International Human Rights Treaties, such as the Belem Do Para Convention, and especially in article 7 inc. e) of the Comprehensive Protection Law for prevent, punish and eradicate violence against women (No. 26,485), which encourages the cooperation and participation of private entities and non-state public actors in the fight to eradicate gender violence, the protocol itself that protects our institution in this sense and with the assistance of the Gender and Diversity Subcommittee”, concludes the official statement from San Lorenzo.

At the end of August, the Buenos Aires police raided the home of Néstor Ortigoza due to a complaint made with his wife: both went to court claiming that they were suffering from domestic violence.

Prosecutor Lorena González of the UFI No. 3 of Gender was in charge of investigating the case for “aggravated injuries.” On August 27, they raided the family home in the Terralagos neighborhood located in Canning where Two firearms were seized: a Glock 17 9 millimeter caliber pistol and a green Bersa BP9CC, also 9 millimeters.

The curious thing was that both weapons were registered in the name of Ortigoza’s wife, 35 years old, who practices shooting. Justice also found 84 ammunition.

It is not the first time that Ortigoza was reported violence. According to the Noticias Argentinas agency, a former San Lorenzo employee named Mauricio Argañaraz filed a lawsuit against him for coercive threats.
