San Lorenzo lives moments of turbulence: before the match against Tigre with which the Ciclón closes a weak season, a group of fans broke into the Allioni Sports Center and after a series of minor incidents, the assembly in which the club hoped to approve the balance sheet was suspended. What was being processed, among other things, was the 2023/24 balance sheet that had already been objected to by opposition auditors: in the questioned points they pointed out an increase in liabilities and at the same time a 60 percent increase in expenses related to the professional football.
After the request for supporting documentation, the assembly scheduled for 7 p.m., two hours before the game, had a heated atmosphere beforehand, similar to what was felt on other occasions on the field due to the poor campaign of the Cyclone.
Everything became even more strained when about a hundred fans burst into the sports center singing songs against Moretti and one main war cry: “Kids are not for sale”. The warning does not have to do strictly with the balance, but with another decision of the club: the recently closed agreement to sell two youth players.
What followed was an escalation of violence, with some struggles, insults and flying chairs until the authorities called the assembly adjourned because there was no possibility of it taking place.
