What happened to the catwalks?

Although the Iguazú National Park could be visited normally, access to the Devil’s Throat was closed from October 2023.

Las huge floods that occurred in those days caused the Iguazú River to reach “extraordinary levels and destroyed 90% of the walkways and the Balcón Garganta del Diablo. The natural phenomenon also devastated the gastronomic area, the toilets of the Garganta Station and a stretch of the railway tracks where the Jungle Ecological Train circulates,” they indicated from the park.

Reconstruction and commissioning works

The National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) was in charge of verifying the works and both the security as the quality of the reconstruction of the walkways.

This is why it has already been decided that from Saturday, July 13, visitors will be able to once again enjoy the walk through the Iguazú Falls in its entirety.
