Logo and motto of the visit to Luxembourg
The logo released today shows a stylized image of Pope Francis blessing, while in the background you can see the Notre Dame Cathedral.
The colors used are yellow and white, which refer to the flag of the Vatican City State, while blue alludes to the Marian veneration deeply rooted in the history of Catholicism in the country.
At the bottom right, you can read the motto of the Apostolic Journey, “To serve” (To serve), which refers to Christ, who came “not to be served, but to serve” (Mt 20, 28). Thus, following the example of its Master, the Church is called to be at the service of humanity.
Logo and motto of the visit to Belgium
For its part, the logo for your visit to Belgium presents a map of the country, crossed by a road along which some people of different ages and different colors walk, which refer to different cultures. In addition, you can see Pope Francis in the center dressed in white.
At the bottom you can read the motto of the Apostolic Journey, “On the way, with Hope” (On the way, with hope), which resonates as a call to walk together, along the path that is the history of the country, but which is also the Gospel, the path of Jesus Christ, our Hope.
It should be remembered that Pope Francis will make this trip just a few days after returning from Asia and Oceania, which will be the longest Apostolic Journey of his Pontificate.
