The spousal love of Jesus for his Church

During the press conference, the director of Cielo Abierto, Pedro González, explained that the central spirituality of this apostolate is, “in Eucharistic adoration, the spousal love of Jesus for his Church.”

Likewise, González, who has directed Cielo Abierto since its founding 14 years ago in Mexico, pointed out that “worship is recognizing God” and that is the objective of the apostolate whose tool is music.

In that sense, this year the concert will also feature the participation of Catholic singers Ana Bolívar (Colombia), Celinés (Dominican Republic), Gerson Pérez (Spain) and the group Si7 (United States).

For her part, Cristal Domínguez, also founder of Cielo Abierto, encouraged parents to teach their children to worship and participate in the Mass. “If we teach our children the experience of Eucharistic adoration, it is a good seed that you leave in the hearts of those little people who will take it to the whole world,” she said.

Also present during the press conference were the Auxiliary Bishop of Bogotá, Mons. Germán Medina, as well as priests Andrés Felipe Arias and Carlos Jiménez, from the Bogotá 2024 Open Sky Coordination.
