Sinner and Alcaraz go for the second step; Báez the Argentine hope and Zeballos debuts

The action continues Roland Garros and this Wednesday Philippe-Chatrier will take to the field Jannik Sinner y Carlos Alcaraz, two of the greatest threats that Novak Djokovic has on his way to revalidate the title he obtained last year and win his 25th Major.

The action on center court will begin at 7 a.m. in Argentina (12 noon in Paris) with the match between Caroline García and Sofía Kenin. Alcaraz will play next, who debuted with a resounding 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 victory against the American Jeffrey John Wolf and will now face the Dutchman Jesper De Jong.

Then another WTA match. Every Swiatek, the top favorite to win the title – she swept local Leolia Jeanjean in the first round – will face a four-time Grand Slam champion like the Japanese Naomi Osaka, who is looking to return to her best level after a long period off the court after becoming a mother.

And then, at the start of the night shift at 5:15 p.m., it will be Sinner’s turn. The 22-year-old Italian, current Australian Open champion, will clash with the experienced Richard Gasquet in search of a victory that will allow him to continue putting pressure on Djokovic in the fight for world number one.

Furthermore, the man from Mar del Plata Horacio Zeballos and the Spanish Marcel Granollers, the world number one, will debut in the last turn on court 3 with the French Mannarino and Martin. Cerúndolo will also play doubles alongside Etcheverry, Navone, Guido Andreozzi and Nadia Podoroska.
