On Friday, December 8, on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of Spain, the Bishop of Barbastro-Monzón, Mons. Ángel Pérez Pueyo, announced at the Torreciudad Sanctuary that it will become a diocesan sanctuary, that is, it will be under the authority of the local bishop.
According to Alpha y Omegathe Prelate explained that the Torreciudad Sanctuary will become “a diocesan sanctuary when appropriate.”
The Bishop specified that he discussed the issue on his recent trip to the Vatican, made by the bishops of Spain to discuss the issue of the apostolic visit to the country’s seminaries with Pope Francis and the Dicastery for the Clergy.
