There’s a new long weekend on the horizon. There are actually two, separated by working Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Let’s see: the Monday June 17 is a holiday (Step to the Immortality of Gral. Don Martín Miguel de Güemes), as is Thursday June 20 (Passage to the Immortality of General Manuel Belgrano) and Friday the 21st (Holiday for tourist purposes). This means that June will have a week with only two working days.
There are those who already have a getaway planned and those who are beginning to see options, whether for the first long weekend or the second. If you can take the intermediate days, it is estimated that there will be those who stretch the number of days and take a mini-vacation of one week to ten days.
“Looking ahead to the next long weekends in June we have a great increase in inquiries compared to the previous year and we are already 18% above in terms of sales,” says Martin Romano CEO of Atrápalo Argentina, while being optimistic and hopes “that this trend will continue to increase as we get closer to the date”.
In this agency, the most chosen destinations are Mendoza, Iguazú, Bariloche, Salta and Córdoba.
They coincide in part with the most chosen in the Despegar agency: Iguazú, Bariloche, Mendoza, Salta and Ushuaia; and among the international ones, Rio de Janeiro and Miami stand out.
From Travel Services they clarify that for now there are better demand for domestic trips than for international trips.
“However, The stability of the dollar and the Hot Sale can perfectly boost international purchases in the coming weeks and establish a new balance between local and foreign sales,” explains Guido Boutet, marketing manager at Travel Services, an agency where they began to have reservations in April.
And he adds: “There is very good offers available at this time to travel to the Caribbean for 10 days taking advantage of dates that coincide with the June holidays”
As for domestic trips, those who decided to travel are already buying. “Some destinations whose offers are sold out and as the weeks go by, the rates take on values typical of a holiday,” explains Boutet.
At the Despegar agency they also see a growth in the interest of travelers, something they can affirm because they had a 90% increase in searches of this last week compared to the last four weeks.
“Los short tripsgetaways, have become a great choice for Argentine tourists that they take advantage of to have different travel experiences throughout the year,” adds Martín Romano.
