Bolivia: President of the Episcopate denounces possible intimidation against bishops

This is not the first time that the Church in Bolivia has denounced persecution and attempts at intimidation by the authorities.

The bishops also spoke out in February 2023, when the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Bolivia requested that statements be taken from 10 bishops in the framework of the “Coup I” case, which investigates the implications of the Church in the alleged coup d’état of 2019.
