Cardinal Angelo de Donatis, until recently vicar of Pope Francis for the Diocese of Rome and now Major Penitentiary of the Church, ordained on Saturday, April 20, 11 new priests for the Eternal City, including two Latin Americans.
To the Mass that he presided in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican and that began, according to the Diocese of Romeat 6:00 pm (local time), attended by bishops, the superiors of the seminaries where the new priests were trained, the parish priests of the communities where they already work, friends, family and faithful in general.
At the conclusion of the Mass, he points out ACI Press – Italian agency of the ACI Group – Cardinal de Donatis thanked the faithful present and Pope Francis for “the beautiful experience” of having been her vicar in Rome, “for having loved her and whom I will continue to love.”
