According to the newspaper, the temple had already been closed for three weeks and therefore masses were not being held there, so at the time of the collapse there were no victims to mourn.
Municipal Civil Protection went to the scene after the collapse and cordoned off to prevent the passage of people and thus prevent any accident.
In a video spread on social networks and collected by the newspaper El Universal, the image of Christ can be seen without damage. Above it you can see that there is no roof and, in this regard, a man states: “here the Civil Protection gave us a chance to see our Most Holy Lord Jesus Christ, who is intact (…) so that they can check the miracle of our Lord, our Father God who is so powerful.”
