Flybondi presented a unique functionality among airlines that promises revolutionize the travel industry: for the first time, all your domestic tickets will be able to resell between passengers.
The low cost company announced the possibility of reselling its Ticket 3.0, air tickets in NFT format (Not Fungible Tokens), a digital asset, offering the traveler flexibility that did not exist until now.
Starting this year, these tickets can be renamed, transferred and gifted easily, securely and with complete autonomy. To these attributes is added the sale between passengers.
“Offering our passengers this unique possibility worldwide, to be able to resell their tickets, reaffirms Flybondi’s innovative DNA. We have been working hard so that users have the power of your tickets so that they can do with them whatever they want: give them away, change ownership, transfer them and now also resell them,” said Federico Pastori, Chief Commercial Officer of Flybondi.
And he added: “The ticket is 100% of the passengers and all the benefits that Ticket 3.0 has is ultimately, giving you even more freedom to fly and do with them whatever they want.”
How ticket sales work
The resale of tickets is carried out on a platform (https://ticket3puntocero.flybondi.com/reventa) created especially for that function.
There you will find the tickets published by other travelers.
When you enter the page, you can see the available options. If you want to move forward with the purchase of one, you must create a user the Ticket 3.0.
Users who want to put their tickets on sale must do so from their Ticket 3.0 username and tap the “Resell” option.
Then you have to select the price for the sale. There is no maximum valuethe owner of the ticket can set the price they want, as long as it is at least the amount at which they originally purchased it.
Taking into account that the ticket can be sold up to 48 hours before flight departure, in case at that time no one has purchased it, the reseller can carry out the same operations as with any company ticket: travel, transfer it, rename it or change the date. If the date changes, you can republish it for sale.
Juan Pablo Lafosse, CEO of TravelX, a company that provides NFT technology, explained: “Together with Flybondi, with the launch of resale, we continue to mark global milestones in the airline industry. Ticket 3.0 turns airline tickets into digital assets, giving passengers unprecedented flexibility and airlines the ability to exponentially expand their inventory management while generating new revenue.”
