Dominican Republic: Bishops reaffirm that life is sacred

“A high percentage of Dominican households are led by young, single and poor women, facing critical challenges such as food, housing, security and health. The bishops also highlighted the importance of improving education in the country, including technical and vocational training, to improve the quality of life.

“Parents are primarily responsible for their children’s education, and with their support, the next authorities and the private sector must strengthen the National Education Council to define sustainable educational policies, independent of changes in the administration,” they requested.
