There were surprises in the list of Oscar candidates, which have just been announced. Neither Margot Robbie nor Leonardo DiCaprio, for Barbie y The Moon Killersrespectively, reached the nomination for best leading performers.

The announcement could be followed through a global live broadcast on Oscar.com. Oscars.org and the Academy’s digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook).
The Oscars will be the culmination of the Hollywood awards season. The 96th Oscar ceremony will be animated by the comedian Jimmy Kimmel and will be held on March 10 in Hollywood, as usual, at the Dolby Theater.

This year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences launched a more global campaign for representation, receiving votes from members in 93 countries, marking a milestone.
