“It is urgent, as believers to continue praying and, as citizens, maintain a moral and political positioning that join the word of the same God to shout: you will not kill!” Sustains the text.
The bishops underline that “no end never justifies the use of perverse means such as Hamás’ terrorism or the massacre, disproportionate and inhuman response, to which the Israel government is subjecting to the civilian population of Gaza for the expressed crimes committed on October 7”.
“It is essential to stop war, free hostages, condemn terrorism and build relationships between people and peoples from respecting the sacred dignity of human life, international legality and the search for the common good,” continues the text, which welcomes “the initiatives to achieve peace.”
“Faced with so much suffering unjustly we cannot remain indifferent,” concludes the text.

Francisco César García Magán specified that when approved the declaration there was no debate on the use of the term “genocide” in reference to the action of the Government of Israel.
