Paola Pablo, Catholic singer -songwriter who carries joy and hope born of God

With the mission of “facilitating that encounter of God with other people” and transmitting joy and hope, Paola Pablo, singer -songwriter of Dominican origin, will arrive in Mexico on September 20 and 21 to participate in the open sky, an event that combines music, Eucharistic worship and preaching.

In an interview with ACI Press, the artist reported that her approach to music began as a child, exploring various genres to discover that her real talent could serve a superior purpose. “When I put my gifts at the service of the Lord, he did something different in the hearts of the people. The same did not happen with other songs,” he said.

“Then there I said, this is a gift, like this gift of being able to facilitate that encounter of God with another person. And there I realized that that was what I wanted to do,” said the singer -songwriter.

He also commented that his vocation has not been a simple path and on several occasions he questioned “if with what the Lord has given me I can give the size (…) those thoughts that generate fear or insecurity that do not come from God.” However, he pointed out that he tries to confirm with confidence the divine words that support it: “I chose you.”

In this sense, he encouraged other young people to “trust” and to recognize that God has a mission for each one, “even knows things that we have not yet been able to name, and he is the one who has decided to choose each one and make a path with us.”

Music that seeks joy and hope

The singer -songwriter pointed out that he seeks with her music to be a “reflect the joy of God.” However, he warns that it is “joy that heals, that heals; not a superficial joy that I have not had any problem in life. In a joy that is born of peace in the heart, of that communion, he continues with the Lord.”

He affirmed that through his songs, his evangelization and his preaching he wants people to also experience that deep joy.

On the other hand, he commented that his music seeks that people can “also experience that hope of the heart” and that it is “a means for the Lord to sow hope in people’s hearts”, in tune with the jubilee year of hope convened by Pope Francis.

Among his songs include titles that invite the Prayer and deep worship, such as Jesusan energetic praise with choreography, And if todaywho invites you to reflect on the act of letting yourself be loved by God, and Here I stayOr, composed of a Good Friday, which expresses the total delivery and love of Jesus on the cross.

Open sky

This year, Paola Pablo first arrives in Mexico City with open sky, a project of Mexican origin dedicated to evangelization through Eucharistic worship, music and preaching, in which various Catholic artists participate, and that will celebrate its 15 years of mission with two concerts in the National Auditorium.

On this experience, the singer -songwriter says that “it is the best thing that can happen in your life. But the most important thing is not the show, it is him, he will be there.”

He invited to attend with the “open heart” and be guided by the Holy Spirit, willing to “receive him as a friend receives another friend, in the simplest, closer way, this is the Lord.”
