A noble and transcendental vocation
Ensuring that his vocation is one of the “most noble and transcendental that exist”, the message recalls that “being an educator is much more than teaching a class or following a study program; it is an act of love and hope that has the power to transform the world.”
Remembering the thought of Pope Francis, he argues that “educating is always an act of hope that invites co -participation and transformation.”
“In a world marked by uncertainty, you are the headlights that guide the new generations, not only transmitting knowledge, but also building a more human future,” he values.
“The value of our educational practices will not be measured simply by having exceeded standardized evidence, but for the ability to influence the heart of a society,” he remarks, citing the Argentine pontiff.
“It is his commitment, his testimony of life and his convictions that really leaves an indelible brand in the heart of his students,” he says.
In that sense, it lists the three fundamental languages: “that of the head, for the intellect; that of the heart, for empathy; and that of hands, for action.”
Education, Base of the Nation
Education, recalls the text, “is the basis on which any nation is built and its greatest challenges are resolved. It is the fundamental tool for human and social development.”
In that line, attentive to the challenges of the youth world and in communion with Pope Leo XIV, from the Episcopal Education Commission they invite educators “to continue accompanying young people who are ‘like those of all times, volcanoes of life, energy, feelings, ideas’”, but also need “’ to grow in harmony so much wealth and to overcome what, although in a different way, although it can still prevent their past, although in a different way Development ‘”, point out in the words of the Holy Father.
“We encourage them not to be overcome before a reality often hostile … work overload, low salaries, lack of social recognition, classroom violence, can lead them to exhaustion and dropout,” they encourage.
“That every day, in each classroom, in each school, they continue to sow the seed of hope: a hope of peace, justice, beauty, really, goodness and fraternity,” the bishops yearn, asking for the protection of the Virgin for all of them.
Educate, a matter of love
Mons. Jorge Gonzalez, president of the Commission, was present with A message in which he assured that it is a very special month in which “the school is in the center of the celebrations”, since in September the day of the secretary, the librarian, of the preceptor, of the student, of the teacher, of the teacher, of the teacher is celebrated.
Therefore, “in their own name and of all the bishops that are part of the Education Commission of the Argentine Episcopate, we want to reach each of you, to our institutions, to thank you for the commitment, dedication, the desire, the effort they put daily in this so noble task that you have chosen as a path and as a profession,” he said.
Remembering Pope Francis, he said that educating “is a matter of love”, and asked that the Lord “embrace them, anime and strengthen them every day.”
Life models, faith models
Also the president of the Higher Council of Catholic Education (Consudec), Adrián Álvarez, sent A message To teachers “who develop their vocation in our classrooms every day.”
The educators, he said in Pope Leo XIV, are “models of life, models of faith ‘”, and their students “will observe them especially for their way of teaching and living.”
He also highlighted the value of testimony in teaching and said that “that is our daily challenge: in a world where conflicts, confrontation and confrontation are in view of our students, to be models that it is possible to live in another way, building bridges, respecting and recognizing the other, generating spaces for meeting and coexistence, witnessing hope against a reality that often hurts, but that it is only possible to change, but that it is only possible to change, but that it is only possible to change. Encarnation of what we believe in. ”
