The Ascoy launches highway to heaven, animated video clip in honor of San Carlo Acutis

Within the framework of the Canonization of Carlo Acutis, the Peruvian Catholic group the Ascoy recently launched its first animated video clip entitled “Highway to the sky”, inspired by the famous phrase of the new saint: “The Eucharist is my highway to heaven.”

The song was written by Luis Enrique Ascoy, produced and musicalized by his son Luis Enrique Ascoy Jr., and played by Mary Ascoy, in a joint effort of the family to convey the message of a young saint who has captivated thousands in the world. The theme is now available in Spotify, YouTube and other digital platforms.

In an interview with Ewtn News, Luis Enrique Ascoy explained that the inspiration was born from the most iconic phrase of Carlo Acutis: “I shared it with my children, they put music and something very fresh, very beautiful, that I hope it is the taste of all the young people,” he said.

For his part, Mary Ascoy shared in a live broadcast that Carlo has been “a beautiful discovery” in his life: “When I saw his documentary, his story, it was really like a light of hope regarding young people because of the overwhelming consciousness of what is really important at a very early age. With 15 years he already had many things clearly and got rid of what really mattered,” he said.

The animated video clip seeks to portray Carlo Acutis on the way to the “highway to heaven”, the Eucharist, showing that holiness is not a distant ideal, but a real possibility for today’s young people.
