The Catholic Church in Argentina is preparing with great joy for the beatification of one of the most distinguished bishops in its history: Cardinal Eduardo Pironio, which will be celebrated on December 16 in the Basilica and National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Luján, in the Buenos Aires province.
Two weeks before the celebration, the Archbishop of Mercedes-Luján, Mons. Jorge Eduardo Scheinig, gave details about how the ceremony will take place, scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in Plaza Belgrano, in front of the basilica.
The prelate also announced that on Sunday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. the Eucharist will be celebrated in thanksgiving for the new Argentine blessed.
