The Episcopal Conference of Colombia (CEC) has invited the faithful to participate on August 31 in the Dona Nobis 2025 campaign, to sustain evangelization in “Mission Areas with great needs.”
Dona Nobis means “give us” in Latin and, says the Episcopate, “is an invitation to the faithful Catholics and society in general to join in prayer and contribute economically” support “the mission of the ten apostolic vicariates of the country, located in mission areas with great needs.”

But the collected will also serve to launch pastoral programs such as catechesis, formation of pastoral agents, among others; as well as holding the “emeritus bishops, who, after years of ecclesiastical service and leadership, require support.”
Therefore, the CEC animates Colombians to collaborate in the collection that will take place on Sunday, August 31 in all parishes, but also donating at any time by transferring Banco de Bogotá Savings account No. 078-34683-0, or from the online portal: http://www.cec.org.co/donanobis.
But also invites the faithful to support the campaign with daily prayer for the mission of the Church.
The Episcopate highlights the importance of this day because “at a time where many regions face social and spiritual challenges, the works carried out thanks to the resources of Dona Nobis 2025 arise as a reminder that the Church continues to carry comfort and announcing Christ.”
“As the motto points out, where the Gospel arrives, hope – with capital letters (because it comes from God) – is reborn,” he says.
