Vatican: Nathalie Becquart is included in the Forbes list

Sister Nathalie Becquart, 54, was appointed by Pope Francis as undersecretary of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops on February 6, 2021, becoming the first woman with the right to vote in a Synod and one of the figures most influential women in the Vatican.

The American magazine Forbes has included this nun of French origin in its well-known annual list of the most influential people in the world in different fields such as science, economics, human rights, fashion or the Catholic Church.

Specifically, Sister Becquart, a member of the Xaviéres Congregation since 1995, appears in the 2024 edition in the list of “50 women over 50”, where she is defined as “the highest-ranking woman in the Vatican.”
