Today we celebrate San José Pelczar, bishop who promoted education and social promotion

Every January 19 we celebrate Saint Joseph Sebastian Pelczar (1842-1924), co-founder, along with Sister Ludwika Szczęsna, of the Servant Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Krakow. Pelczar served in different ecclesiastical positions with the same nobility and pastoral ardor. He was bishop of Przemyśl (Poland).
