Cardinal Rueda composes more than 200 prayers to pilgrimage with the Virgin Mary

Peregrinos de la Esperanza with Maryis the title of the book that contains 226 prayers composed of Cardinal Luis José Ruedio Aparicio, archbishop of Bogotá, to meet “with the mother of heaven in a personal, family, community, labor, or at any time or circumstance of life.”

The book was presented on Monday 14 at the headquarters of the Archbishop Curia. In a note published in Catholicism, of the Archdiocese of Bogotá, it is highlighted that the sentences “were written from the heart, made every week, Sunday to Sunday.”

“Inspired by the simplicity and tenderness of Mary, in her deep love for her and in her daily encounter with the Word of God, with the reality of the country and the world, he wrote every prayer that is in the book,” he adds.

In that sense, the archbishop wants this work of great spiritual wealth to be an instrument to “learn to pray with it, growing in faith and hugging life with greater hope.”

The book includes a special prayer to thank God for the life and legacy of Pope Francis, and a special prayer for Pope Leo XIV.

“Today my gratitude is to the beloved Virgin Mary, because she is the sowing of hope, because she is the sowing of the great seed, of the Son of God. And I recommend to whoever has this book that they do not read from beginning to end, but every day read a ration. Abran him anywhere, a prayer will reach his heart,” said the archbishop of Bogotá.

The presentation took place after a Mass presided by Cardinal Rueda, which was attended by more than 70 servers of the Archbishop Curia, with the presence of sisters of the Paulinas Colombia community and representatives of the Editorial House El Tiempo-Círculo de Readers.
