On Thursday, November 30, it was officially launched “Peruvian Fathers”, a citizen participation platform in Peru whose main objective is to promote the freedom of parents to educate their children according to their values and without ideological impositions.
Daniel Armas, coordinator of Padres Peruanos, shared with ACI Prensa that this new space aims to be a proposal open to dialogue that defends the freedom and right of parents to be the first educators of their children, as indicated in the article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 13 of the Peruvian Constitution.
“What we all want is for our children to receive a quality education. And this requires the participation of parents. That is why Padres Peruanos was born: as a response to these challenges that we are experiencing today and that seek to put the family and the competent authorities on the same page so that the main beneficiaries are, precisely, our Peruvian children and adolescents,” he expressed.
