Renault revealed the name of the next compact SUV that he will sell in the Argentine market. It is about Borealwhich will soon begin its production in Brazil and that will debut in our market before the end of the year.
Although the brand did not give many details, in terms of dimensions (and prices) it will be located within the range between Duster and Koleos, next to the newly released Arkana, the first hybrid model of Renault in Argentina.
The boreal will be built on the new modular platform adaptable to vehicles of different sizes that debuted with Kardian and that will also be used by the compact pickup that will occur in Córdoba, for which an investment of an investment of 350 million dollars.
Renault Boreal will be launched in Latin America and will progressively reach More than 70 countries.
The names of the Renault models are divided into three categories: saga, iconic and new. The first corresponds to vehicles that have accompanied several generations, such as Clio and Megane; the second, applies to invented names long ago and that over time became iconic (Renault 4 and Renault 5); and the third, corresponds to unpublished names used for the launch of new vehicles, such as Kardian, Arkana and Boreal.

It is a” Boreas “derivation, name of the name of the God of the wind of Greek mythology, and the Latin term “Borealis, Boreas”, which means “North Wind,” explains Sylvia Dos Santos, responsible for denominations in the Global Renault Marketing Department. .
Dos Santos also adds that the name perfectly summarizes the values that SUV embodies: technology, status and comfort.
