Pope Francis sent a message from the Gemelli Hospital, where he remains admitted since February 14 because of bilateral pneumonia, in which he says he feels in the heart “the blessing that is hidden within fragility.”
This is the third Sunday that Pope Francis has not been able to read the text of the Angelus. At the beginning of his message, released by the press office of the Holy See, the Holy Father thanked the doctors and health personnel “for the care with which they take care of me.”

“I feel in the heart the ‘blessing’ that hides within fragility, because precisely at the moment we learn even more to trust the Lord; At the same time, I thank God because it gives me the opportunity to share in the body and in the spirit the condition of so many patients and people who suffer, ”he said.
“From here the war seems even more absurd”
The pontiff thanked below the prayers “that rise to the Lord from the heart of many faithful from many parts of the world. I feel all your affection and your closeness and, at this particular moment, I feel like ‘carried’ and sustained by all the people of God. Thank you all! ”He said below.
“I also pray for you,” he continued, “and I pray especially for peace. From here the war seems even more absurd. We pray for the tormented Ukraine, by Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, Kivu, ”he urged.
What the heart spokes on his mouth
When commenting on the Gospel this Sunday, March 2 (Lk 6,39-45), Pope Francis stressed that Jesus “makes us reflect” on two of the five senses: sight and taste.
On the view, the Pontiff explained that Jesus, when he says: “He first draws the beam of your eye, and then you can see to get the brizna in your brother’s eye,” he is asking us to “train our eyes to observe the world well and judge with charity the neighbor.”
Only with this look of care and not condemnation, he said, “fraternal correction can be a virtue. Because if it’s not fraternal, it’s not a correction! ”He emphasized.
As for taste, the Holy Father stressed that Jesus reminds us that “each tree is known by its fruit.” “And the fruits that come from man are for example his words, which mature in the mouth, so that ‘what his heart spokes his mouth.”
The bad fruits, said Pope Francis, are “the violent, false, vulgar words; The good are the fair and honest words that give flavor to our dialogues. ”
Therefore, he invited the faithful to reflect: “How do I look at other people, who are my brothers and sisters? And how do I feel looked at by them? Do my words have good taste, or are they soaked with bitterness and vanity?
