International Congress of Families 2025

Under the motto “Families in harmony, key to development and peace”, from March 14 to 16, 2025, the International Congress of Families 2025 (CIFAM) will be held in Mérida, Yucatán (Mexico), an event which will bring together leading national and international experts to address fundamental issues regarding family well-being.

In one news conferenceMario Romo, president of Red Familia and representative of the organizing institution, highlighted that the main objective of the congress is to expose the problems faced by the family environment, but also to transmit a message of hope.

“Yes, there are problems, there are difficulties, but with hope you can always be better,” said the leader of Red Familia.

Romo stressed that the event is a unique opportunity to listen to experts who “come to present their experiences, their knowledge so that families can obtain valuable tools; because we are convinced that all families can be better.”

Furthermore, he highlighted that this congress, which has had previous editions in Mexico City and Guadalajara, has been key to generating public and business policies that favor the family, and that this same model is sought to be applied in Yucatán.

For his part, the president of the congress in Mérida, Omar Chapur, highlighted that “no family is perfect, all can be improved.” For this reason, he indicated that, although family relationships can be complex, “what better than having the best tools to learn from them and keep those ideas.”

In this sense, he invited attendees to make the most of the teachings and to disseminate the information that will be shared during the event.

The congress will have the participation of more than 50 specialists, including prominent figures such as Isabel Rojas Estapé, psychologist and member of the Psychiatric Research Institute of Madrid (Spain); and doctors María Calvo and Rafael Guerrero. Antonia Salzano, mother of Carlo Acutis, who will be canonized this year, will also be present.

From Mexico, Dr. José Antonio Lozano, president of the Governing Boards of the Universidad Panamericana and IPADE, will be present; Dr. Amalia Osorio, founder and general director of Desarrollo Humano Integral Ágape; and Mr. Héctor Sampieri Rubach, from the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute; inter alia.

The youth program promises to be one of the main attractions of the congress, with the participation of influencers and recognized talents such as Minesweeper and Rorro Echávez.

Additionally, CIFAM 2025 will have the Family Expo, a space with 98 stands in which various institutions will offer programs, activities, products and services designed especially to support families in their comprehensive development.
