Near the festival of the Holy Family, a date to honor the figure of the Virgin, Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus, the Catholic singer-songwriter Mechi Ruiz Luque presented “Song to the Holy Family”, a piece that seeks to pay homage to the home where Our Lord grew, while rescuing the importance of the path to holiness in daily life.
It is a simple and emotional work, which invites you to contemplate the Sagrada Familia. The author is a young Argentine woman, mother of a family, writer and social communicator.
The song was presented on December 13 and is available on digital platforms, with a video that lists everyday family scenes full of sensitivity and encourages prayer.
In dialogue with ACI Prensa, Ruiz Luque acknowledged that he always had “a special devotion for the Holy Family and an inclination to contemplate the three figures ‘being one’, in everyday life and in the warmth of the home.”
Along those lines, she recalled that the idea of writing a song about this “exemplary” family came from her husband, “a few days after we got married.”
“So I started writing down some ideas and images that I had in my head, and the song took shape,” he said.
Taking into account the model of the Holy Family, the author took it as an example for today’s families: “While recognizing the challenges of today’s families, we can seek inspiration in the simplicity of the Holy Family to face each situation with faith. and trust in God’s plans, and to live with love, patience and dedication, as Jesus, Mary and Joseph did,” he considered.
The purpose of the song is that the model of the Holy Family “inspires us to live like this in our own families: with joy, humility and patience, but above all with infinite confidence in God’s plans,” he stated.
The production of the piece was carried out by Francesco Mazza, and the voices were recorded by Mechi Ruiz Luque and her husband, Marcos Schlusselblum.
Mechi Ruiz Luque’s musical career dates back to 2011, when together with two friends she composed “Vida en abundance”, a song that quickly became popular and today is part of the Catholic repertoire throughout the country.
From that experience, he continued writing and publishing a large number of works that are the fruit of prayer.
