Young entrepreneurs advocated for Christian values ​​at the Argenthink 2024 conference

The 33rd Annual #Argenthink Conference, organized by the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE), brought together young businessmen and entrepreneurs this Wednesday around the motto “Values ​​in action, a vocation that transforms.”

At the opening of the event, Matías Lanz, president of ACDE Joven, proposed to the 150 participants “to share our Christian values ​​in the professional field, because as long as those values ​​are in everything we do, we will have a sense of community.”

The meeting took place in the Plaza Galicia auditorium in the City of Buenos Aires and consisted of several panels with ideas to build networks and thus enhance professional development, a concern that the participants expressed in a previous survey.

“First we need to carry out a process of self-knowledge, of introspection. What we show outwardly must have substance. We must be authentic and genuine in order to be successful when building networks. We must be clear about what we want to contribute before thinking about what we want to obtain from others. bonds,” said Consuelo Summers, coach, mentor and facilitator.

Juan Pablo Carrera, from the ACDE Joven team, added: “We young people seek that what we do has a purpose, a why, and we need to be able to reconcile work with personal life, so that what we do has a positive impact on the community.” .

Another of the topics worked on during the day was that of bonds and values, both in the family, in the company and in society. For this, Ignacio García Suárez, partner of ACDE, took the testimony of the Venerable Servant of God and founder of the institution, Enrique Shaw: “He wanted work to be a means of sanctification, to be a vehicle to reach God,” stood out.

References from companies and social organizations then focused on the positive impact of networks with values: “There is an impressive loss of values ​​due to what I believe is the lack of hope in all social classes,” said Isela Costantini, CEO of Grupo Servicios. and Transactions (GST).

“If we do not live what we say with integrity we cannot pass a constructive message, give, contribute something more than what we received, because we can achieve better results if we relate to those who share our values,” he said.

For his part, Cristian Martínez, president of the Todo Vuelve Civil Association, warned about the advance of drug trafficking in the neighborhoods, calling for people to unite to show that you can “look at others, not give up and see what I can do from my square meter”.

“It doesn’t matter where you were born, what you have to start: be encouraged to take the first step, because with others it is us,” added Matías Kahl, co-founder of the educational platform Edison.

The young people participated after an interactive dynamic, and then listened to the testimony of Gastón Vigo, founder of Akamasoa Argentina, the experience that in Madagascar leads the P. Pedro Opeka.

“We believe that poverty can be defeated with work, education and discipline, a word that is sometimes feared in Argentina,” he said, urging us to practice integrity “when no one sees us.”

The closing of the meeting was led by Silvia Bulla, president of ACDE, who called on young people to “change a reality that hurts us.” Addressing young people, he stated that they are “the other side of this present.”

“They are full of ideas, initiatives, full of life, which is the most beautiful project they have in their hands and that God gives us every day,” he concluded.
