The musical group Los Ascoy has recently released their new song titled “Send your fire”, with which the help of the Holy Spirit can be invoked in those difficult and confusing moments experienced within the ecclesial service.
In statements to ACI Prensa, Los Ascoy point out that “the world is certainly going through a crisis and so is the church.” In this context, “pastoral agents, lay and consecrated, go through situations of great dedication and some of great desolation,” they emphasize.

For this reason, with this song they encourage “crying out to the Spirit the strength to move forward,” asking that His will be done in every situation. Which can mean “may God break our hearts to pieces” to rebuild us and give us a new heart.
“Being born again is a process that can be very painful, but it is necessary for holiness. It is praising God despite tribulations,” they emphasize.
This long-standing group points out that the Holy Spirit is very significant in the ministry they carry out, so much so that they always ask him for inspiration for every musical or catechism project they undertake.
On the other hand, in the chorus of the song Los Ascoy highlight the importance of letting yourself be molded by the Lord, taking into account that “you cannot be born again if you are not willing to die.” At the end of the lyrics they emphasize that all this fight is to reach paradise.
“In the era of misinformation and post-truth, it is important to prepare ourselves to avoid all confusion. Let us always ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and give us his discernment. This is our battle for holiness and we are risking eternal life,” declare Los Ascoy.
The group Los Ascoy is made up of Luis Enrique Ascoy (dad), Mary Ascoy (daughter), Luis Enrique Ascoy Jr (son) and Lida Hoyos (mom), who does not sing but is behind the scenes coordinating the organization.
