According to the nun, the Son of God told the Saint: “Look, Rosa, if you beat me in this game of dice, I will take away your sore throat. But if not, you are left with that pain so that you can offer it to me for the salvation of many souls.”
In this way, they both started to play and in the end Christ won.
“Then she understood that what she had to do was offer her sufferings to the Lord. She was also happy because she wanted to do her holy will,” emphasized Sister Ana María de Jesús.
The prioress pointed out that this story is also described in the archives of the beatification and canonization process of Santa Rosa de Lima. In addition, it is necessary to indicate that in the monastery you can see an old painting where said scene is represented.
