For Juan Pablo Vargas, a 24 -year -old from Tenancingo, State of Mexico, what is most taken from the day is “the message of hope for what we can do as young people today, and thus, see that there is still that love and that respect, but also that freedom that God gives us to decide to be close to that”.

One of the central moments of the Jubilee was the Eucharistic celebration, chaired by Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes, Archbishop Primado de México, who directed a homily focused on Christian hope and the commitment of young people as witnesses of the Gospel.

“How is an injured heart relieved? Listening to it,” said the cardinal. “And many times the captives are not in physical prisons, but tied to interests, desires or addictions that take away freedom. The true liberation is interior, and it is only possible with the action of the spirit.”

Throughout the day, several priests were available for the sacrament of confession. In parallel, the chapel of the seminar remained open with exposure of the Blessed Sacrament, offering whoever wanted a space of silence, prayer and reconciliation.
