Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, recalled Wednesday that they have just been 350 years of the appearance of Christ to Santa Margarita María Alacoque, when he revealed his sacred heart.
The Purpurado American recalled the appearance of June 16, 1675, when Jesus himself showed his sacred heart, covered with flames and crowned with thorns, with an open wound from which blood sprouted and, inside his heart, a cross came out.

Santa Margarita then heard Jesus said: “Here is the heart that has loved men so much, and instead, of most of men they receive nothing more than ingratitude, irreverence and contempt, in this sacrament of love.”

The Cardinal explained in his video on Wednesday, June 18 that 350 years ago “Jesus appeared to Santa María Margarita Alacoque and revealed his sacred heart, and revealed his desire that his heart was the center of our attention, mercy, compassion and love.”

The Archbishop also recalled that “June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and his party will be celebrated soon,” specifically June 27.
