“A pilgrimage is the occasion to return to our roots, to our baptism, which is our greatest source of hope. Today, let’s live this day in union with our catechumen,” said the archbishop of Malinas-Buselas, according to The local press reported.

The pilgrims began the route from the Cathedral of Brussels and, after a joint prayer and the blessing of Mons. Terlinden, walked 5 kilometers to the other jub from the city, the national basilica of the Sacred Heart of Koekelberg.

In addition, during the journey the participants were invited to reflect on the Gospel of the Good Samaritan. The pilgrimage concluded with a Mass in the Basilica of Koekelberg chaired by Archbishop Terlinden, who encouraged those present to know in Jesus “who can fill the wishes” deeper.

The families and Catholics of different generations showed the diversity of this archdiocese, which extends their jurisdiction over the Province of Brabante Flamencothe Provincia del Brabante is truen, and the Brussels-Capital regionin addition to eight municipalities of the province of Antwerpwhich constitute most of the Malinas district

With this experience, the pilgrims were able to live the hope “tangible” and showed their enthusiasm in the face of other future initiatives that will be carried out within the framework of the Holy Year.
